Because childhood should feel like wonder.
When children dig in the soil, follow a bee, or watch a seed sprout, they’re not just learning—they’re imagining. They’re discovering their place in a world full of color and life. We believe these moments matter. They help children grow curiosity, creativity, and a lasting love for the natural world. And that love grows with them, season after season.
What is a Garden Wondertale?
A Garden Wondertale is a hands-on gardening adventure inspired by The Adventures of Pip & Pio series. Children plant real seeds, follow along with characters and story moments connected to the plants they’re growing, and watch the tale unfold right in their own backyard or windowsill. It’s part garden, part imagination, and entirely designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and joyful discovery.

Why .org? Are you a non-profit?
Not yet. We have filed articles of incorporation with North Carolina. We plan to apply for nonprofit status with the IRS in early 2026, and hope to achieve nonprofit status by summer 2026. We’ve chosen the nonprofit structure so our work stays mission-driven—focused on inspiring curiosity, imagination, and a love of nature in children.
Why flowers? Why not traditional garden vegetables?
Flowers are often a joyful entry point into gardening for both children and adults. Their colors, shapes, scents, and visiting pollinators naturally attract curiosity across ages and cultures. Flowers also teach the same science and nature lessons that edible plants do—and in fact, every fruit and some vegetables begin with a flower. By starting with blooms, we invite children into a world that feels accessible, beautiful, and full of wonder… and our pollinator friends approve!
That being said, Pip & Pio will be meeting some edible garden characters on their adventures to come. Stay tuned!
